There can be little doubt that America will be a different country in the years ahead than it has been historically. New rails have been laid on the collectivist track we’ve been put on, and the engineer has been told to go full speed ahead.

At least we can be sure of 4 more years of right wing brainwashing from Walter. Is this really all you got? Why are you people so terrified of policy that helps the middle class for a change? Romney would have paid less than 10% on his millions last year if he hadn't taken away from his deductions to get his rate up to almost 14%. Maybe he should have asked what he could do for his country. Ryan's budget was so radical the Catholic church called it immoral. Romney called it marvelous. Let the super wealthy pay their fair share and shut up about it. This same weak arguement has been run into the ground for too long now. A big part of the reason so many people are on food stamps is because they can't support themselves even with full time jobs, thanks to the Romney class that has squeezed the workers to death while raking in megabucks off other peoples' hard work. America is not Europe. This paper hasn't come with an original thought since I can remember. Learn to think for yourselves again people. This stuff is lame.

His Royal Highness President Obamination cost the taxpayers $1.4 billion dollars just to keep the him and his Royal staff in regal splendor during 2011. Even the Queen of England wasn't close at under $60 Million dollars.

Never mind that Romney is as left wing as Obama, we'll let Leavell play his little charade.

Here's another reason (from faux news network):

"A new government study found that the number of able-bodied adults on food stamps nearly doubled after Washington used the stimulus law to lift a key work requirement."

"Typically the food stamp program requires that group to work or participate in a training program at least 20 hours a week to continue receiving benefits after three months. The stimulus law, though, allowed states to suspend the rule from April 2009 to October 2010 -- and most states did. In that time, the number in that group surged."

It's in the interest of Marxists to get as many people dependent on government hand-outs as they can. That's how you win elections and get more Marxism.

Businesses produce a product. Government produces more government. Simple, easy to see and verify.

Sure - let's instead have a few more decades of left wing hogwash from the likes of the Nolan D Leavells of the world. The federal government's budget is so radically out of balance, the entire organized crime syndicate running it should be thrown in prison along with the Marxists who are behind it. If you take every last dime from the rich, you still couldn't balance the budget. The federal government is sucking some $3 trillion dollars annually out of the economy. Americans paid nearly $500 billion dollars in interest on the debt in 2011. Our Marxist-In-Chief President is posturing to spend even more and drive deficits up further over the next 4 years.

The only solution is to cut the size of the federal government significantly and quickly. Your absurd contention that big spending by government thugs and making the "wealthy pay their fair share" will somehow benefit the middle class is nothing short of old fashioned class envy spurred on by socialists and their Marxist handlers.

And by the way, speaking of thinking for one's self, you should try it some time. Romney and Obama were very close in ideology. Why vote for Obama Lite (Romney) when you can have the whole handout? That's why Romney lost.

Show me how his policies are going to help the middle class. According to the National Taxpayer's Union (just a site I picked at random), for tax year 2009, 59% of federal income taxes are paid by the top 5% of wage earners. Seventy percent(70%) of federal income taxes are paid by the top 10% of wage earners. And Obama wants them to pay even more? Why? Because they have it? If that is his (or your) rationale, that takes the incentive away for us all to try to make a better living for ourselves and our families. The idea sounds really good to people who are not wealthy, because they think it's going to shift the tax burden off of them to someone they have become accustomed to believing is evil, greedy, etc (insert your own adjective here). And no, I am by no means wealthy.

All this talk of sticking it to the super wealthy is breeding class warfare. And this is coming from a president who claims to "bring people together." If anything, he is dividing the nation even further.

You spout the same liberal views that is also "the same weak argument [that] has been run into the ground for too long now." We both know that any household that spends more money than they take in is heading for trouble. How is our government any different? Like it or not, America IS headed the same direction as Europe. A blind squirrel could see that.

I could go on, but I'm not. I've probably wasted too many breaths already.

Well, today is my beloved Marine Corps' 237th birthday and also my baby sister's birthday.

I believe Walter and his newspaper is a blessing to the area. I don't know you Mr. Leavell, if that is really you name, but unlike the handme, giveme people of today that voted twice for a commie, not a socialist but a commie moos lem thinking they will get some more handouts well I believe by the time the commie get's threw they will be worst off than the average hardworking American. As I see it how are they better than they were four years ago, since their food,gas,electric bill,etc. etc. has gotten severely worse, and guess what sheeples all of the said is going to get worse!

Even so, come LORD JESUS, and let the heathens have at it!!

The funny thing is that white people voted Obama in, 43 percent of them. Are they dunb ? probably. 94 percent of Blacks voted Obama in. Are they more racist than whites ? The statistics speak for themselves. Will Obama destroy this Country ? I don't believe he destroyed it, but he will finish the job. Obamacare will fail, and drive our nation into more debt. Handouts will kill this nation.
When you go into Ingles and see a working man with a half full cart, and a welfare, EBT type with an overflowing cart, something is wrong with the system, and to add insult to injury they leave and get in a Lexus or Beemer with bling rims. Obama will have gay marriage and weed legalized all over this nation. This nation is headed to 3rd world status on a fast train, look around, garbage and litter all along the roads. The USA has definitely seen it's best days.
