The Barnesville-Lamar County Library in Barnesville is looking to expand and the Friends of the Library group is leading the fund-raising charge. The library circulates nearly 50,000 items per year but has outgrown its meeting room, has limited shelf and storage space and had to turn kids away from its summer reading program last year.
You can help by joining the Friends of the Library or by making a donation. Dues are $20 per year. The next meeting is Tuesday, March 26 a 7 p.m.
Call 770.358.3270 for more information.

They should ask Andy Dufresne to write letters to Congress for them.

They definitely serve a need in our community. It is one of my favorite places to visit in Barnesville.
