Between Monday, July 21, and Sunday, July 27, the police department made five arrests:
John Zellner, 62, 114 Bradley Cir., shoplifting;
Adarius Lyons, 31, 2845 E. Pharr Rd. N.E., Atlanta, probation violation;
Jack Campbell, 43, 302 Irving Ave., Griffin, bench warrant;
Benjamin Bowles, 35, 106 Bradley Cir., warrant from another county;
Reginald Smith, 38, 350 Grove St., Barnesville, probation violation.
Officers answered 161 calls for service including three fights, three animal complaints, 26 security checks, two thefts, two loud music, one welfare check, 13 domestics, 17 foot patrols, nine suspicious persons/vehicles, two speeding, one accident, one ambulance, two livestock or carcass on road, one hit and run, eight escorts, one civil matter, two alarms, one damage to property, two unwanted people and one lost or mislaid property.
They issued 52 citations including one possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, one no registration or license, one expired tag, two driving while license suspended or revoked, one expired license with proof of renewal, one no insurance, 18 speeding, one turn signal violation, two failure to stop or yield, one brake light violation, one child safety seat violation, 19 seat belt violations, two disorderly and one criminal trespass.
