This is what is wrong with Gov't, why would a building be bought without a clear purpose. Where is the transparency ??? I bet all the taxpayers love hearing this. And why is it being purchased with SPLOST funds ??? Seeing the taxpayers bought this building maybe Wilson can layout his Grand plan, or is it a COVERT operation.......all i can say is WOW.

Exactly! Why are we allowing tax money to be spent on a building specifically constructed to be a restaurant? Is the city going into the food service business? And with no clear purpose for the building! This is the problem with splost. There is no oversight and the funds are spent at the council's discretion as if it is their personal slush fund. A tax is a tax is a tax and the spending of tax money should have oversight. The lingering question is just how much money was spent. The price paid by Mr. Ranew is not nearly as relevant as the price paid by the city. How much?

I would say look for a parking lot for the new library would be my guess...remember they have to have a certain amount of space for parking. This may part of their plan.
