The Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce strongly denies endorsing Universal AdCom which creates and distributes “Community Guides”. On Tuesday of last week, it was reported to the Chamber Office that the company has been using the Chamber of Commerce name and calling local businesses to sell advertisements for their “Community Guide Magnets.”

Who wouldn't want a Community Guide magnet ?Regardless if the Chamber of Commerce endorsed it or not. I'm gonna buy from whoever can sell an item for the best price. Small town USA dried up to the likes of Walmart, because of Greed and price gouging.
I don't want this particular community guide magnet, especially after my late husband told the salesperson he did not want to advertise on it. About a month later we received a box full of magnets with the company name spelled wrong, an 800 number that no longer existed and a mis-listed phone number. Oh, and a bill for $300 we did not pay because - get this now, We Didn't Order The Advertising!!!
This happened to another business owner I know too. In short, this company is a scam.
