Woodmen of the World Lodge 199 and the Lamar County fire and rescue will hold a 10th anniversary In Honor and Remembrance Ceremony for the victims and heroes of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It will be held at the Lamar County water authority building at 105 Country Kitchen Road on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. ’Woodmen of the World members and associates nationwide organize In Honor and Remembrance ceremonies each year,’ said Lodge 199 president Maxine Gibson. ‘These ceremonies give members, family and friends a chance to grieve over the lives lost that tragic day and pay respect to the heroes who responded. It’s also evolved into a public forum to thank local firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians and members of the military.’
