The advance voting period for the December 1 Barnesville city council runoff has been established but absentee ballots are not yet available. The Ward 4 runoff pits Larry Whitworth against Robert Neal Devane for the seat now held by Lynn Wilson who is retiring. Early voting will be held at the courthouse annex (former Martin Professional Building) November 16-24 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The office is closed from 12:30-1:30 p.m. each day for lunch. The early voting period will end on Wednesday, November 24 when hours will be 8 a.m. – noon. For more information, call 770.358.5235.
