Alina Ray Wigglesworth, beloved three-month-old daughter of Destiny and James Wyatt Wigglesworth, Sr. passed away unexpectedly Sept. 26, 2023.
Lovingly called “Lina,” this precious baby surprised her parents June 22, 2023 with an early arrival, and looking nothing like her 2-year-old brother, James Wyatt, Jr. With adorable dimples and perfect little cupid’s bow lips, Lina quickly established her own personality and preferences.
Lina loved nursing snuggled in the arms of her mother, wiggling at bath time, resting on her father’s chest as he played video games, and most of all watching her endlessly entertaining big brother as he played. She will be remembered for her big, beautiful, toothless smile and her deep blue eyes. Lina brought joy and delight to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and brother, Lina is survived by her grandparents: James Wigglesworth; Julie (Randy) Vining; and Heath (Aruna Khan) Thompson. Aunts and uncles: Paige (Josh) Corley, and children Rowan, Anna and Rhett; Chasity Arnold, and son Gavyn; Blake Brown; Farrah Lewis; Colton Lewis; Heather Thompson, and daughter Alise; Julia Freeman and Janet Presley.
Great-grandparents: Tami Campbell; Jeff (Dorothy) Thompson; Steven (Karen) Ray; Patricia Ray; and Nellie Johnson. Great-great grandparents Dolores Norton; Judith Ray; and Lila Thompson. Godparents Steve and Kristi Rapson. Numerous cousins, extended family and loved ones including August Lake.
Funeral services were on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Private burial will be at a later date.
Though Lina left this world her heart lives on through her heart valve donation via Life Link of Georgia.
Donations to assist with funeral expenses are welcome. Gifts of live plants to establish a memorial garden for Lina are also welcomed.
