Alleged AC theft gang member on the run

A 16-year-old juvenile who was allegedly part of the Faron-Moore air conditioner theft ring has escaped DFCS custody. Police are searching for a mixed race male named Jesse Faron. UPDATE: Jesse Faron has surrendered to authorities. Faron has been in foster care in Macon but was brought here today for some reason and fled. He is described as five feet, eight inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He had on black cap with a cat on it and was wearing light colored jeans and a navy blue shirt with white stripes when he fled. He was wearing white Adidas slip-on shoes and carrying a yellow backpack. If you spot Faron, call 911 immediately. The Moore-Faron gang, allegedly run by the escapee’s mother Tracy Faron and Trawick Moore, admitted to more than 56 air conditioner thefts in Lamar, Spalding, Pike and Upson counties and, at times, was selling more than 500 pounds of copper per day as a result of multiple thefts.
