The man suspected of setting fires to numerous foreclosure homes in the area was indicted last week in Upson County. Travis Ball was indicted on two counts of arson. His case will proceed through the judicial system there before he is prosecuted in Lamar County where he faces one count of arson. The September term Lamar grand jury will not consider the case against him. It will also not get the hit and run case against Bobbie Jo Sumner and likely won’t get a similar case against Thomas Edward Lenhart III due to an evidence gathering snafu.
