Alleged Spalding killer Cheeves turns himself in

A man charged with the murder of 29-year-old Quinton Henderson in Spalding County has turned himself in to authorities. Kendrick Monquell Cheeves, 30, turned himself in at 2 p.m. Sunday. He is charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. Authorities were called to a home at 166 Camden Rd. in Griffin at 10:07 p.m. on Friday April 11. They found Henderson in the driveway with gunshot wounds. He later died at the Griffin hospital. Cheeves, who listed the Camden Road home as his address, fled the scene after the shooting and was the subject of a manhunt.
