Alleged young thugs’ bonds set at $1 million

By Walter Geiger Three young Barnesville men charged with armed robbery had bonds set at $1 million each Feb. 18 by Judge Tommy Wilson. Davionte Devon Taylor, 17, and Quintavion Jerrod Grier, 19, are charged with armed robbery. Daiquavious Lemone Taylor, 20, is charged with armed robbery and two counts of theft by receiving stolen property. They remain in jail. The trio allegedly robbed Austin O’Pry and Chase Jenkins at gunpoint on Dec. 27, 2015, stealing an iPhone, a pack of cigarettes and $40 in cash. The crime allegedly occurred on Mill Street at 12:30 a.m. Chief magistrate Karen R. Jackson bound two of the three over to superior court at a hearing held on Dec. 31, 2015. A Lamar County grand jury will take up the crimes later this year.
