Anita Segars Bennett of Griffin, was called home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. She was born November 29, 1954.
Anita was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn Hodges & stepfather William Hodges, father Fred Segars, brother Michael Segars & sister Elaine Gordy and niece Tiffany Slaughter.
She is survived by husband Tom Bennett, son Jason Ford, brother Morris Segars, brother-in-law Donnie Gordy, nephews Stephen Ruffin, Jay and Josh Caroway, loving in-laws, father-in-law Jim (Pops) Bennett and wife Carol, brother-in-law Pat Bennett and Scott Bennett and his wife Terry and their children Ryan and Conner. Susie Slaughter and husband Jimmy, and their children Lisa and Brent, Kathy Valdes, Ed Barron, Carol Benge, Karen Tillis, Johnny Shultz, and Billy Shultz. Cousins include Patty Souther, Katreena Haley, Sharon Haley, Karen and Sherry Bramlett, Gail, Sandra and Wayne Clark.
Anita was a small woman when it came to size but in size only. She had a huge personality. She has left a huge impact in the lives of those blessed to have known her. Anita loved traveling, gardening, fishing and growing her orchids. Her favorite places were the cabin in North Carolina, the Suwannee River and Alaska.

A service for Mrs. Bennett will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
