Mrs. Ann F. EnglishJune 25, 1942 ‘“ July 9, 2018Ann Faulkner English was born June 25, 1942 in Lamar County, Georgia. She was the eighth of 10 children born to the late J.W. and Martha Faulkner. Mrs. English was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Donald Guy English; her siblings, Lawrence Faulkner, Mary Faulkner Berry, David ‘Bud’ Faulkner, Sara Faulkner McBride, and Jessie Faulkner. Mrs. English is survived by four siblings, Robert ‘Bobby’ Faulkner, Frances Faulkner Lowe, Millie Faulkner Corley, and Charles Faulkner; two children, Dwayne English and Angela Ledford (Matt); seven grandchildren, Beth English (fiancé Matt Browning), Rachael Carr (Richard), Brad English (Jessica), Dillon Taylor (Kaitlyn), Guy English, Matthew Ledford, and Missi English; three great grandsons plus one on the way, Gage English, Matty Carr, Scotty Carr, and the soon to be Daxton Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews.Mrs. English was a life-long member of Rock Springs Congregational Methodist Church. She loved her family and was a wonderful homemaker for her husband and children; counselor to anyone who sought advice; and shoulder for everyone’s tears.Mrs. English enjoyed the outdoors but especially loved fishing, yardwork and mountains. Later, when her health began to decline and she was unable to do those things she loved so much, she took to watching hummingbirds.Mrs. English was rarely sick and rarely, if ever, complained, but the one thing that always made her smile and feel better was her ‘medicine,’ Matty and Scotty Carr. Their visits made her glow. Prior to her hospitalization, she was teaching Matty and Scotty Bible verses, sewing seeds to last a lifetime.Many hearts are broken at the passing of Ann Faulkner English, hearts that are lost and saddened at the realization that a mama, grandmamma, mam-mama, sister, aunt, cousin, confidant, and best friend is no longer a phone call away. She will be truly and sorely missed.A visitation for Mrs. Ann F. English will be Wednesday, July 11 from 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m. at Rock Springs Church, 219 Rock Springs Rd., Milner, GA. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held. Pastor Cameron Shiflett will officiate. Interment will follow in Church Cemetery.Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W.
