Annie Laurie Walter

Annie Laurie Walter passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, at her home in Newnan, Georgia, at the age of 85. She was born in West Jefferson, Ohio, to the late Arthur Bogard and Ruth Davenport.
Annie (Granny Annie) will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had an incredible ability to bring joy and laughter to any gathering. Her vibrant personality made her the life of the party and the warmth of any room. Annie cherished the time she spent with her friends, creating unforgettable memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
Aside from her infectious spirit, Annie had a deep passion for life. One of her greatest joys was traveling and exploring. There is no ocean she did not cruise, nor continent she did not step foot upon.
Annie’s legacy of love and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She profoundly impacted those who had the privilege of knowing her. Those touched by her warm and caring nature will forever cherish her memory.
Annie is survived by her son, Kevin Walter; daughter, Karey Walter; daughter-in-law, Susan Walter; brother, Rick Lee; three grandsons, Christopher Walter (Ursula); David Walter (Samantha); Matthew Walter (Kaylee); and her five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roy Walter, and her loving son, Doug Walter.
A private memorial service will honor Annie’s life and celebrate the joy she brought to everyone around her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Annie’s name to the charity of your choice.
May Annie Walter’s soul rest in eternal peace, and may her loved ones find comfort in the cherished memories they shared with her.
