While many people were at home resting or enjoying their families the Dewaine T. Bell Difference Makers along with nearly 100 guests participated in the Freedom March in an effort to bring unity to the community. Put together largely by April Smith, the event featured politicians, pastors, students and community members alike. The parade wound through downtown and ended at the Lamar County courthouse where onlookers head Mrs. Tonya Walker and Mrs. Nicki Harris perform as well as Shane Harris speak.
