Another high speed chase, more drug arrests in Spalding

Three people, including one juvenile, have been arrested for selling drugs in Spalding County where deputies also made an arrest following yet another high speed chase. The full release from Spalding sheriff Wendell Beam follows: On Thursday, January 12, 2012, a search warrant was executed at 345 Dale Drive, Griffin, Georgia by the Spalding County Sheriff Department Special Operations Division. Approximately four (4) ounces of marijuana was discovered along with scales for weighing the marijuana and packaging material. The following people were arrested at the scene: Jeffery Joe Johnson, age 19, of 345 Dale Drive, Griffin, Georgia Charges: Possession of Marijuana Possession of Marijuana with Intent to distribute Kentavious Clark, age 19, of 1319 East McIntosh Road, Griffin, Georgia Charges: Possession of Marijuana Less Than One (1) Ounce A Juvenile, age 16 Charges: Possession of Marijuana Less Than One (1) Ounce Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer (Resisting Arrest) * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * On Saturday, January 14, 2012, Brandon Brown, age 21, of 108 Moose Lodge Road, Lot 5, Griffin, Georgia was charged with: Speeding (In excess of 100 M.P.H.) Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement Officers Driving Without a Driver’s License Failure to Maintain Lane The arrest was a result of an incident when Brown failed to stop for Agents of the Spalding County Sheriff Department Special Operations Division. During the incident Brown travelled along Vineyard Road and Andrews Road reaching speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.
