Anthony Brian Butler, Sr. 68 of Milner, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.
Anthony was born on March 20, 1957, in Barnesville, Georgia to the late Elnora Butler. Anthony was a devoted husband, father, and servant of God whose life was marked by love, purpose, and generosity. For 21 years he faithfully pastored, pouring his heart into guiding others and sharing God’s word with compassion. He had a true gift for catering, finding joy in preparing meals that brought people together and made them feel cared for. The love of his life, Brenda, and his cherished family were the center of everything he did. One of his most treasured traditions was reciting with his family, “May the Lord watch between me and thee while we’re absent one from another,” a reflection of the deep faith and unity that shaped his life. Anthony’s legacy of love, service, and devotion will continue to live on in all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Shenise Butler; children, Anthony Butler, Jr., Christopher J. Butler, Matthew S. Butler; 10 beautiful grandchildren; brothers, Wade Butler, Randy Butler, James Butler, Timothy Butler; one sister, Shirley Ann Cole.
