Investigators have determined the June 10 fire which engulfed Antioch Baptist Church’s sanctuary was electrical in nature, according to the Rev. Jeffrey Morgan, pastor. Plans are to start the rebuilding project after insurance adjusters complete their assessment. The ministry of the church is fully functional again. Sunday services were never disrupted. Just days after the tragic fire, members gathered in the fellowship hall for services. An outdoor pavilion is also being utilized. About 75 firefighters who fought the blaze were honored by church members last Thursday with dinner and a video documenting the devastating fire.
