Apostle, flock told to hit the road

This afternoon around 1:30 p.m. Barnesville police served Apostle Bobby Slaughter (see: The House That Bobby Built in this week’s print edition of The Herald-Gazette) with 15 counts of zoning ordinance violation on three different addresses: 306, 315 and 245 Atlanta Street. UPDATE: Slaughter reported this evening the city cut off water and electricity to the three homes he rented for his halfway houses and has given him five days to vacate the premises. The 15 charges were split into five misdemeanor safety code violation charges for each of the three addresses. Slaughter will go before the municipal court on August 25. Slaughter was interviewed by Fox 5 Atlanta this morning.
