An arrest was made Monday night in the case of the local serial arsonist. The man, about 46 years old, was arrested at a roadblock set up after two more fires were set in Upson County. He is currently being held on a taglight violation charge. Evidence found in his vehicle will lead to further charges later today, according to sheriff Brad White. White said information from a concerned citizen led to surveillance of the suspect. He will be identified later today but apparently grew up here and graduated from LCCHS. He was not a Lamar resident at the time of his arrest. More to follow…
