Artist, muralist A.P. Henry memorialized; community service set for Nov. 7

Renowned Barnesville artist and muralist Andrew P. Henry died early Oct. 3 at his home. He was 29. He created much of the artwork displayed around town for the filming of HBO’s ’Sharp Objects’.

Andrew traveled the world doing murals and was in great demand as a portraitist. He worked with all sorts of media and even created quirky birdhouses. No funeral service will be held.

His bother Caleb Henry has set up the A.P. Henry Memorial Fund to help the family with cremation costs and expenses associated with settling his estate. All residual funds will go to Lamar Arts, an organization close to Andrew’s heart.

Donations can be made at any United Bank location. The family has also set up a gofundme page for the fund. For more information, call 678.967.9991.

A community memorial service for Andrew will be held Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. at Summers Field Park. Those who own artwork done by Andrew are encouraged to bring it to the service.
