As expected, murder case delayed

As expected, the upheaval in the public defender office has resulted in a delay in a high profile Lamar County murder case. The trial of Jamarris Latuan Williams which was set for November 4 has been pushed back and will be rescheduled for some time in 2014. Judge Bill Fears signed a continuance order on the matter Oct. 10. Williams faces murder and multiple other charges in connection with the stabbing death of local cab company owner John Dixson.
