Commissioner Nancy Thrash stood by her decision to vote for the resignation of two Lamar County assessors at the Milner city council meeting Tuesday. She also confirmed assessor David Dodd had turned in his resignation. ”I promised I was going to work to solve the county’s problem. I felt this was a step in the right direction,” Thrash said. “The motion wasn’t pointed at anyone in particular.” Thrash said she work work to ensure the commission, which now must appoint a quorum of assessor board members, will chose those who are “really good people who will follow the guidelines of the law and do the right thing for citizens.”
