Prominent local attorney Norman Smith died Sunday at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. Smith, 62, served as legal counsel for the City of Barnesville, Industrial Development Authority and other local governmental entities. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 9 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the home of his mother, Ruth Moore Smith, in Barnesville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Barnesville. Williams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
