A huge crowd was on hand Wednesday morning in the LCCHS cafeteria for National Signing Day festivities. Lance Austin, Lawrence Austin and Qua Searcy signed with Georgia Tech. Tyler Scandrett signed with South Carolina State. The Austin twins project as defensive backs though the Tech staff has talked of giving them shots on offense. Tech and most recruiting services have Searcy listed as a wide receiver. Scandrett is Lamar’s record-setting placekicker and had three last second game-winning kicks during his career.
