Ball back in court Thursday

Alleged serial arsonist Travis Leroy Ball will be back in Lamar superior court before Judge Tommy Wilson Dec. 19. Prosecutors are seeking to revoke his bond for failure to comply with stipulations. Ball, who has been indicted on two counts of arson in Upson County and charged with another count here, is required to remain in Houston County and wear an ankle monitor at his expense. Ball has been delinquent in paying for the monitor. He also has not charged the monitor as he is required to do to keep it operational. The monitor’s GPS signal has not been functional since Nov. 17, according to a court document prepared by assistant district attorney Matt Bridges. Bridges is seeking revocation of Ball’s $20,000 bond and wants him returned to the Lamar jail where he is no stranger.
