In a sign of tough economic times at the holiday season, a Bank of America branch in Griffin was robbed Tuesday. The bank branch, located on Taylor Street, was robbed at about 11 a.m. by a black male who indicated to a teller he had a gun but did not reveal a weapon. The robber stood about five feet, eight inches tall and wore a full beard. He was wearing blue jeans, white tennis shoes, a white t-shirt and blue hoodie. If you have information, call 911. Law enforcement officers here and across the nation are bracing for more such incidents due to the tough economy and the upcoming Christmas holiday.
