From WKEU radio: Units of the City of Griffin Police Department, the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement personnel responded to the Griffin branch of Regions Bank, located at 327 West Taylor Street Friday afternoon in response to a call of an armed robbery. Three suspects reportedly robbed a teller at the bank while brandishing a weapon and fled the scene in a gray Dodge Charger. A high speed pursuit ensued involving numerous other law enforcement agencies which made its way into the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 and along Georgia Highway 20/81 in Henry County. The pursuit ultimately concluded with the apprehension of the three suspects believed to be involved in the armed robbery. More information regarding the incident is expected to be released later as the investigation continues.
