The annual Illumination Celebration will light up downtown Barnesville Wednesday night but the festivities start at 11 a.m. when food trucks open on Market Street. They will serve customers through 8 p.m.
The annual community worship service is set for 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Barnesville police chief Belinda Penamon will provide special music.
The celebration begins at 7 p.m. at the stage located at the intersection of Main and Market streets downtown. After a seasonal program, the trees and other areas of the downtown district will be lighted.
Santa arrives at Hometown Real Estate at 202 Main St. at 8 p.m. for photos. Revelers are also invited to walk through the Festival of Trees exhibit at Ritz Park beginning at 8:30 p.m.
