Barnesville police report

Between Monday, Aug. 16, through Sunday, Aug. 22, the Barnesville police department made six arrests:                         Yasmine Anderson, 1761 Glenview way, Hampton, disorderly conduct; Malcolm Cowins, 1666 Glenarm Dr., Lithonia, driving while unlicensed and defective equipment. Alvin Hughes, 286 Mill St., Barnesville, DUI and improper lane change; Lashonda Smith, 300 Hollie St., Butler, disorderly conduct; Shar’Tae Thomas, 627 Greenwood St., Barnesville, disorderly conduct; Crystal Towns, 1308 Sable Chase Blvd., McDonough, disorderly conduct. Officers answered 76 calls for service including four accidents, three alarms, 10 building security checks, two burglaries, one crowd control, three damage to property, five disturbances, one dog complaint, three domestics, 16 escorts, two fights, one gas drive-off, one harassment, 13 miscellaneous, two noise complaints, one shots fired, three suspicious persons/vehicles and five thefts. They issued 31 citations, four defective equipment, four disorderly conduct, one DUI, one driving while unlicensed, one expired tag, one improper lane change, one no insurance, one parking violation, one red light violation, seven seat belt violations and nine speeding.
