Between Saturday, Sept. 18, and Friday, Sept. 24, the Barnesville police department made eight arrests:Christopher Dee, 242 Midway Rd., Barnesville, reckless driving;Johnny Edwards, 1527 Williams Mill Rd., Zebulon, probation violation;Steven King, 112 Martin Luther King Dr., Zebulon, driving without a license, resisting arrest and loud music;Dennis Myers, 138 Chappell Mill Rd., Milner, DUI, reckless driving and disorderly conduct;Thomas Parks, 31 Powder Creek Rd., Molena, interference with an investigation and giving false information;Carlan Robinson, 1246 Trice Cemetery Rd., Thomaston, disorderly conduct;Jody Story, 3597 Highway 341, Culloden, DUI, reckless driving, suspended registration, no insurance and failure to obey officer directing traffic;Nicholas Taylor, 7207 Hall Webb St., Hahira, theft by shoplifting.Officers answered 77 calls for service including 10 accidents, four alarms, seven building security checks, eight crowd control, four damage to property, one disturbance, one dog complaint, four domestics, nine escorts, two fights, one fraud, one harassment, two juvenile complaints, nine miscellaneous, two noise complaints, one sexual assault, one shoplifting, four suspicious persons/vehicles, one terroristic threat, three thefts and one 911 hang-up. They issued 25 citations including two disorderly conduct, two DUI, one driving while unlicensed, one failure to obey an officer, one failure to obey traffic signal, one failure to stop at stop sign, one giving false information, one loud music, one no insurance, one no tag, three reckless driving, one resisting arrest, one seat belt violation, three speeding, one suspended registration, one shoplifting, two violations of license restrictions and one driving wrong way on one way street.
