Barnesville police report

Between Saturday, Jan. 15, and Friday, Jan. 21, the Barnesville police department made eight arrests: Eddie Crockett, 369 Hwy. 36, Barnesville, theft by shoplifting; Michael Goodrich, 100 Heritage Valley Rd., Norcross, possession of methamphetamines, DUI and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime; Wanda Holmes, 501 W. Walker St., Thomaston, failure to appear; Melissa Jones, 175 Crowder St., Barnesville, cruelty to children; Robert Muldoon, 2461 Boyt Rd., Yatesville, possession of meth and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime; Felicia Skinner, 135 Johnson St., Barnesville, simple assault; Jonathan Smith, 135 Johnson St., Barnesville, simple assault; Benjamin Williams, 2112 Singer Way, Lithonia, possession of marijuana and speeding. Officers answered 59 calls for service including seven accidents, two alarms, 17 building security checks, two burglaries, one criminal trespass, one domestic, 13 escorts, one fight, one fraud, one loud music, eight miscellaneous, one shoplifting, two suspicious persons/vehicles, one traffic control and one 911 hang-up. They issued 16 citations including one expired tag, three failure to stop at stop sign, one no through trucks, one possession of marijuana, nine speeding and one shoplifting.
