Barnesville Police Report

Between Friday, May 25, and Friday, June 1, the Barnesville police department made eight arrests:Dan Merritt, 62, 10 Jenkins St., Barnesville, disorderly conduct;Eric Dail, 31, 231 Tussahaw Point Dr., Jackson, driving while license suspended;Terry Brown, 41, 106 Roger Brown Dr., Barnesville, improper turn and DUI;Dontavious Davis, 22, 812 Brownlee Rd., Jackson, driving while license suspended;James Danner, 42, 4460 Janice Dr., Apt. A-14, Atlanta, permitting unlicensed person to drive;Blaine Wood, 42, 1750 Conley Trace, Conley, driving while license suspended, tag light requirement and giving false name;Wayne Higgins, 68, 603 Virginia Ave., Barnesville, simple battery;Caweisi Lavelle, 21, 217 Mill St., Barnesville, child molestation.Officers answered 86 calls for service including three fights, two animal complaints 17 security checks, two loud music, one prowler, two burglaries, seven domestics, one armed robbery, six foot patrols, eight suspicious persons/vehicles, five accidents, one intoxicated driver, one intoxicated pedestrian, 10 escorts, nine alarms, one damage to property and one 911 hangup. They issued 16 citations including one expired tag, three driving while license suspended or revoked, one permitting unlicensed person to drive, one improper turn, two speeding, one DUI, one failure to maintain lane, one tag light violation, two safety violations, two giving false name to officer and one disorderly conduct.
