Barnesville Police Report

Between Monday, May 4 and Satuday, May 9, 2015 the Barnesville police department made three arrests: Larry Akins, 54, 139 Westchester Drive, Barnesville, drugs- marijuana possession less than one ounce; Keisha Schwarzel, 34, 101 Town Edge Parkway, Barnesville, battery; Orlando Woods, 40, 174 Fallin Strett, Thomaston, driving while license suspended/revoked; Patrolmen answered 116 calls for service, including two fights, three animal complaints, eight security checks, three thefts, two burglaries, one child custody case, five domestics, 11 meet in person requests, 27 foot patrols, six suspicious person/vehicle reports, 11 stopping person or vehicle, one traffic light out, five speeding, three accidents, five ambulances needed, one intoxiated driver, one intoxicated pedestrian, one hit and run, eight convoys/escorts, one bond approval, one civil matter, three alarm activated, two damage to property, one harrassing phone call, one school crossing duty, one special detail, and two pick-up prisoner/subject. They issued 29 citations including one marijuana possession of less than one ounce, one expired tag, one driving on suspended/revoked license, one driving without a license, one no insurance, one too fast for conditions, nine speeding, one failure to stop at stop/yield sign, one lighted headlight/other safety lights required, 12 safety belt violations.
