Aderrius J. Barron, a football and baseball standout, has been named a recipient of the Vincent J. Dooley Award. He will represent Lamar County at the 13th annual Dooley Awards Ceremony May 2 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. Barron will compete with students from across the state for one of two Dooley scholarships. The finalists will be named soon. Aderrius is the son of Derrick and and Nija Barron. His sister, Aniyah, is and outstanding soccer and track athlete at LCMS. Aderrius signed a full scholarship to play football at Clark Atlanta University on Feb. 5.
