BBQ & Blues stage relocated; 35 cook teams expected

The concert area for the BBQ & Blues main event concert April 8 is being moved slightly from where it has been in the past. The stage will located on what was a homesite between the United Bank operations center and First United Methodist Church.

The concert will feature Nashville star and Barnesville native JB Strauss and his band. Caleb Anthony & the Holliday Troubadours will open the show.

The concert area will be fenced off and admission is $5. There will be a VIP area. Tables for eight are $125 and include a free bottle of champagne. Beer and wine will be sold at the show.

Parents can keep kids occupied with a free Kids Park near the concert area.

Organizers are expecting 35 BBQ teams for the cook-off. The festival kicks off Thursday, April 7 with an after hours event at United Bank from 5-7 p.m.
