Veteran bluesman Eddie Kirkland, who received the Georgia Music Legend Award at last year’s Barnesville BBQ & Blues Festival, was killed Sunday morning in Tampa. Kirkland, 88, was making a u-turn when his vehicle was hit by a Greyhound bus. He died at Tampa General Hospital.
