Young Savannah Talley remains hospitalized at Egleston in Atlanta as publicity of her bizarre case grows and benefits to help with her enormous medical bills pop up on the schedule. Savannah, a nine-yearold second grader at LCPS, was stricken at school March 31 and later lifeflighted to Atlanta. She has been in a medically-induced coma and suffered hundreds of seizures since. She was featured in an Atlanta TV newscast but an online account to benefit her had raised only $4580 as of Monday morning. Doctors suspect she has febrile infection related epilepsy syndrome (FIRES). It affects one in one million children ages three to 15 years old. Doctors have told the family to pray. They are also considering a move to another state where cannabis oil treatments can be legally used. The Georgia legislature passed a cannabis oil bill but it has not been signed by the governor.
