Mr. Bennie W. Pate 65, of Brook Road transitioned at his residence on Thursday. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 11am at the Bethel Baptist Church. Pastor James C. Marable will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held today beginning at 5pm to 8pm. Trice Funeral Home Inc. of Barnesville has been entrusted with the professional services. Mr. Pate is survived by a daughter Mrs. Cierra (Drew) Willis of Griffin, GA. and a son Mr. Shawn Brown Nelson of Indianapolis, In. A father, Mr. Bennie William Pate Sr. of Barnesville, two step daughters, Adrienne Thomas and Keisha Thomas of Indianapolis In, two god daughters, Tesha Brown of Conley and Dorothy Virden of Barnesville. Three Sisters Ms. Darlene Pate, Mrs. Verlene (Kenneth) Folson, and Mrs. Mary (Larry) Smith all of Barnesville. Brothers Mr. Wilton (Sandra) Pate of Forest Park, and Mr. Jerome (Linda) Pate of Barnesville. A aunt Ms. Annie B. Murphy, a devoted friend Ms. Gratasha Banks, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates, and many dear friends whom all will miss his presence.
