Mrs. Bertie ‘Janie’ Niblett Darden, age 82, of Griffin, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Brightmoor Hospice. Mrs. Darden was born on Monday, April 5, 1937 in Griffin, GA to the late Euel Franklin Niblett and the late Lutie Akin Niblett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lewis Darden; sister, Betty Tidwell; brother, James Niblett. Mrs. Darden was a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Church. She enjoyed music, playing guitar, and loved to draw. Mrs. Darden is survived by her daughter, Judy Lawrence; son and daughter-in-law, David & Faye Darden; grandchildren, Austin Lawrence, Joshua Jones, Regina Jones; great-grandchildren, Alexis Jones and Mickey Lawrence; brothers, Howard & Mary Ann Niblett, Kelly Niblett, David & Virginia Niblett, and Charles & Betty Jo Niblett; sisters, Mildred & Larry Sims and Martha Gant; sister-in-law, Inda Shirley; several nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service for Mrs. Janie Niblett Darden will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Rock Springs Church in Milner with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Springs Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Mrs. Darden will lie in state for one hour prior to the funeral.
