Barnesville police officer Ernie McWhorter’s home on High Falls Park Road has been burglarized and authorities are concerned about the burglar or others using uniform items stolen from the home to impersonate an officer. The real officer McWhorter is pictured with this post. The burglar(s) stole a Glock pistol that was McWhorter’s personal weapon and not a city-issue firearm. Also missing are a badge, uniform shirt, nameplate, collar brass and other items. If you have knowledge of any of these items or run across anyone impersonating an officer, call 911 immediately.
