B&L robbed

B&L Quick Service, located at the corner of Taylor Street and College Drive in Barnesville was robbed Tuesday night just before 10 p.m. According to BPD investigator Al Moltrum, a masked black male wielding a black semi-automatic pistol demanded cash from a female clerk. The assailant was wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt, dark pants and a black mask. He took the cash drawer from the register at the store and fled across Taylor Street. Investigator Brian McWhorter was called in and all of downtown Barnesville was searched but the suspect was not located. McWhorter did find the cash drawer and a black wool stocking cap in McCoy Alley. Patrols in the area have been increased and BPD operations commander Capt. Reginald House was made aware of the incident. If you have information regarding this robbery, call 911.
