A Red Cross blood drive will be held Thursday, Jan. 26 from 1-6 p.m. in the fellowship hall at First United Methodist Church in Barnesville. Homemade cookies will be on the menu for donors.
Appointments for 1 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. are full but other slots are available.
Appointments are encouraged to keep the screening process smooth and efficient but walk-ins are welcome. Any donor with an appointment can go through the pre-screening process at redcrossblood.org.
“Blood donors save lives. Cancer patients, transplant patients, trauma patients and even knee surgery patients need blood. The only source for this blood is volunteer donors. One hour of you time can save three lives,” drive chairman Charles Glass said.
