A body has been located in a burned out trailer in Monroe County. From Allison Selman-Willis, Monroe Co. S.O.: Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigators were summoned to 185 Towaliga Trail, near Weldon Road, today May 9, 2014, after a body was discovered in a single-wide trailer that was damaged by fire. Monroe County EMS responded to the house fire around 1:00 p.m. Once the fire was suppressed, firefighters examined the trailer and discovered the body of Larry Tenney, 57, who lived in the trailer. Firefighters and MCSO investigators believe, after a preliminary investigation, that the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring in the living room area. Tenney’s body was taken to the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta to determine the cause of death; however, no foul play is suspected at this time. Tenney, who required the assistance of a walker, had several medial issues and lived alone in the trailer. The investigation into this incident continues.
