BOE $18.1 million budget approved

In addition to approving its $18.1 million budget as advertised, the board of education took care of a few other financial items at its June 23 meeting. The board voted to change its workers compensation insurance to Key Risk from the Georgia School Board Association self-insurance pool, cutting the costs nearly in half. ”We’re moving away from the self-insurance groups,” said superintendent Dr. Bill Truby.
