Bomb threat mars students’ return to Gordon

The threat of a bomb in the on-campus cafeteria marred the return to campus for Gordon students Sunday night. UPDATE: As is almost always the case in these incidents, the threat was bogus. There have been no injuries and no explosive devices have been found on campus. The threat was called in at approximately 6 p.m. Students returning to their dorms for the start of classes Monday were corralled at the athletic complex, gym and fine arts auditorium as emergency personnel methodically searched buildings. Bomb sniffing dogs were called to the scene as well. Students and a few parents were annoyed that they were not allowed into the on campus housing complexes. More on this story as it develops.
