BPD announces promotions

From Craig Cooper, BPD: Chief Keadle is proud to announce the following promotions within the Barnesville Police Department Lieutenant Maggie Moreland a 19 year veteran of the department and a 29 year veteran to law enforcement was promoted today to the rank of Captain. Captain Moreland has been an invaluable asset to the department, community and the D.A.R.E. program. Captain Moreland’s responsibilities will be Captain over the Patrol Division and School Resource Division amongst many other duties. Lieutenant Al Moltrum a 13 year veteran of the department was promoted to the rank of Captain. Captain Moltrum has been an invaluable asset to the department, community and the Investigative Division for several years and has done an outstanding job in crime prevention for the department and community. Sergeant Anthony Kendall a 15 year veteran of the department was promoted today to the rank of Lieutenant for his dedicated service and commitment to the department and community. Lieutenant Kendall has been an invaluable asset to the department, community, and the D.A.R.E. program. We are excited to announce these changes within the department and feel confident the citizens will be well served. We strive to provide the most professional service to our citizens and visitors daily. We are anticipating even more changes within our rank structure in the very near future.
