A 51-year-old Brooks woman was killed Tuesday morning after she pulled out in front of a dump truck on Hwy. 16 in Spalding County. Bill Taylor at WKEU reports Connie Garner pulled out from Fairview Road in her pickup truck into the path of the dump truck, the driver of which did everything he could do to avoid the collision. The crash was caught on security video from a convenience store at the intersection as well. The dump truck struck the pickup broadside, killing Garner instantly. She had to be cut from the wreckage by firefighters. The driver of the dump truck was hospitalized but is expected to recover.
