For a week now, Barnesville-Lamar County has been shivering and trying to stay warm. Between space heaters, emergency trips by the propane company and even extra stoking of the fire, we shouldn’t expect relief until sometime Monday. But even then it may not last long. Don’t put away the rock salt and quilted Carhartt’s just yet.Paralyzed by biting cold this weekend the county could see some sun just in time to fall back into another uncommon and uncomfortable bout of winter weather. According to online weather sites the McIntosh Trail area can expect temperatures to dip into the teens and warm up to the mid-20s during the day in the coming week. That doesn’t warm anyone’s heart, much less our homes. So what are you doing to prevent the frigidity? Have you experienced any problems thus far? Are your pipes staying thawed? Is your livestock still moving around? Let us know!
